Coeur d' Alene

Two weeks ago Joe and I decided to road trip up to Coeur d' Alene to visit his family for the weekend.  It is always so nice to get out of Rexburg and even better to see family.  It was a quick trip, but well worth it.  We spent our time relaxing and eating... a lot.

We slept in on Saturday and went downtown to Dockside, a restaurant inside the Coeur d' Alene resort and had "breakfast".  It's a "tradition" of mine to always go to Dockside to get a "Gooey" whenever we're in Coeur d' Alene.  A Gooey is a huge, huge, huge ice cream sundae loaded with candy, chocolate syrup, marshmallow fluff, whipped cream, Reese's peanut butter cups, and peanut butter.  It's heaven in a monstrous glass.
Not kidding. These things are amazing
The Gooey that Joe's parents got
After we had "breakfast" we went back to Joe's parents house and hung out, I got a few minutes of a nap in until Joe's Dad woke me up... He always give me such a hard time for sleeping so much, but come on I just ate like 5 pounds of ice cream it's totally understandable, right?

Joe's oldest brother Jake and his wife Kim were with us, but I didn't get any pictures of them with their Gooey, sorry!  They came back over to Joe's parents house with us and Joe and I played with our nephew's Mason and Tanner. I love them.  Mason is hilarious, he would run from the kitchen into the family room and jump in the air and smack down on the ground. I guess it's a boy thing?  He then found out if he jumped right on top of me I would have to catch him- haha I got my arm work out in for the day! He did that like a hundred times, laughing each time.  I love kids.

After we digested our breakfast we went out to eat once again... but this time to one of Joe's favorite restaurant's- Wolf Lodge.  I've been there one other time, when I went out to meet Joe's parent's when we were dating, and let me tell you this place is awesome.  I am not a steak eater, I really don't like it all that much- but Wolf Lodge has the best steak I have ever eaten.

I look awkward, but oh well. Headed to Wolf Lodge!
I thought we could take another "less awkward" picture, except right as we were taking it a car pulled into the parking lot and was headed right at us obviously flustering us both. hahah
Joe's parents are so cute :)
Mason :)

I love Coeur d' Alene and I can't wait to go back up over the summer and spend more than a weekend there!

Date Night

I love pizza.  I could seriously eat pizza anytime, so when we got a sweet pizza stone for our wedding I couldn't wait to use it!  I went on the hunt for the most perfect homemade pizza recipe, thank you pinterest for actually giving me a recipe I actually used haha!

It's funny to think back on when Joe and I were dating and engaged, because I would always get so frustrated if he didn't think up "creative" dates. I'm a brat, I know.  Now that we're married I am grateful for a quiet evening in watching Netflix! Ha, we have already turned into an old married couple!

Yummiest pizza I've ever had
Such a goof...

Nom, nom, nom!!!

I love date night with the hubby! :)

My First Christmas as a Leiser!

Although, Christmas is long passed I still wanted to document my first Christmas with the Leiser's! It was such a fun weekend with Joe's family; I was a little homesick at first, but that quickly wore off. We drove up to Coeur d' Alene on Christmas Eve- we had the entire back seat of our car filled with Christmas gifts that we couldn't wait to give to everyone.
